Reminder:
There is a lot of ugliness in the world, but really, do we need to need to clog up the Chatham Chatlist with it? I enjoy the daily emails that inform me about community events, farmer’s markets and fracking (on a side note, wouldn’t fracking be a more constructive conversation than the decibel level of a generator?). As well, I delight in reading anyone’s poetry or prose and find it particularly courageous to share such personal insights with neighbors.
Keep in mind that this is a forum for community organizing and support. These are your neighbors up here! As your kindergarten teacher might have said, “treat others the way you would like to be treated”. If you are angry and feel like writing, then by all means write. Just refrain from hitting send and making the rest of us suffer through your rant.
I would like to make a motion that we refrain from name-calling and bullying here on the chatlist. If you don’t have something nice to say, maybe you should refrain from saying anything at all.
In light of all of the events going on in the world, we should all be thankful everyday for all we have and maybe a little less petty about what we think we deserve.
Have a great day everyone!
