Chatham County Cooperative Extension’s Pollinator Paradise Demonstration Garden in Pittsboro celebrates its third year this year! The garden was designed to provide forage habitat for pollinators such as honey bees, native bees, butterflies, flower flies, hummingbirds, beetles, and other beneficial insects.

You can view photos of all the plants in bloom – updated weekly! – on Extension’s Growing Small Farms website at http://bit.ly/95ZS1C

There are close to 25 different plants blooming this week in the garden! The garden includes over 125 different perennials, mostly plants native to the piedmont region of NC that bloom from early spring through late fall.

In addition to taking a virtual tour of the garden on the website, you can also visit the garden in person 7 days a week or during one of the monthly garden tours! I posted the garden tour schedule on the website. I will also be doing a Pollinator Conservation Workshop in August that includes a garden tour, just in time to plan for fall planting! All of this information and much more is on the website at http://bit.ly/95ZS1C

Happy spring!

Debbie
