Subject: Propane rates
Once again trying to prepare for the coming year – how was everyone treated by their propane company? Our residential propane provider used to be Economy, and i was happy with their service and pricing policies. But since their takeover by Cooper a couple of years ago, not so much.
I find myself now paying 3.179 per gallon on a “budget plan” with no price lock-in (Economy offered a price lock-in at the beginning of the season, when THEY got a lock-in from their supplier). I’m using about 930 gallons a year, or at least that’s what my budget plan is based on. One issue in switching is that the contractor who built my house had a rental tank buried in the yard… So to switch suppliers, I either have to buy this tank, or have a new tank installed. Live and learn!
Who do you use as a provider, and how is your service and propane rate?
