Subject: This Week at Chatham Community Library
The celebration of Black History Month continues all month at Chatham Community Library.
Join us Tuesday, February 15 at 1:30 p.m. for Robert Barnes’s presentation, “The History of Black History.” Robert Barnes is a history instructor at CCCC. This program is free and open to the public, registration is not required. Meets in the Holmes Meeting Room.
On Saturday, February 19 at 10:30 author Kelly Starlings Lyon will read her book, “One Million Men and Me.” This book recounts the historic Million Man March from a child’s point of view. Ms. Lyon will also present a brief program suitable for elementary-school age children and their families. Free and open to the public, registration is not required. Meets in the Holmes Meeting Room.

Thursday, February 17 at 4 p.m.: Aspiring Authors Workshop (AAW) This workshop will take young writers ages 13 and up through the publishing process from the concept stage, to writing, to publishing a completed work. For more information, contact children’s services at (919) 545-8085.
