Your story resonated with me. I have bags of batting for quilts, an inca loom with partly woven scarf, trunks of yarn, storage boxes of fabric… on and on… clinging to me for decades. But here is an idea. We have local glass artists, for instance, Gretchen Niver, who would no doubt love such a donation as your collection of vintage glass, and would make use of it, and perhaps create something beautiful for you in exchange. (I also tried stained glass once… definitely NOT my medium. I like to play with dirt… pots and gardens.)
Hard to part with stuff, I know.
