Subject: small business request
Hi all.
Recently had a meeting with Brian Bock, the new Chatham County Comm. Chair and the Economic Development Comm. This meeting was to discuss my visit of May 2010 from the Zoning Inspector & the subsequent meeting with the Chatham County Comm.
In that meeting, the Inspection Supervisor was instructed to do a study concerning small business requirements and to do nothing to me until that study was done. On the following day, the Inspections Supervisor called me and told me to go ahead and get the permits and start construction on the parking pad and handicap bathroom. And in the mean time, I should rent a Port-o-potty to put in my driveway!!!!!!!!
Anyway, I received an apology and that is where we stood until the meeting with the new Chatham Co. Comm. Chair.
I have been asked by the Chair, Brain Bock and the Economic Development Comm. to request if any other Chatham Chatlist members have been visited by the Zoning/Inspections Depts. and to find out how those visits went.
They are interested in feed back about how our community works or doesn’t. If you have had any interesting dealing with the Zoning/Inspections dept., please e mail me or directly to Brain Bock, You can also contact the Comm. board member who is in your district.
If you want to contact me and not have your remarks forwarded to the Comm. I will keep that in confidence also.
And so, that is the rest of the story, up to this point.
