NCBarter is a great resource in Chatham! Come join our network – there are many Chatham businesses on NCBarter: Back Solutions Chiropractic, Farrell’s Storage, Aria Day Spa, Kathie Russell – Attorney, Max’s Dogwash, Carolina Vision, General Store Cafe (and my own Chatham Bookkeeping Services) and more! I can attest that within hours of the announcement that I joined the network I had two appointments with a new client! There is virtually every kind of business in the network from Chapel Hill to Raleigh. Some businesses are: Advertising, Printing, Child Care and Activities, Eye Doctors, Car Repair, Travel, Beauty Salons, Gift Baskets & Packages, Web Design, Photographers and restaurant scrips.
This is an especially exciting opportunity for (but not limited to) service-based businesses. In exchange for your services performed for network partners, you will have barter dollars credited to your account (matched dollar for dollar and 100% trade – with exceptions like car repair where you pay cash for materials). You can spend your barter dollars anywhere in the network! I am keeping track of mine like a separate bank account. You can request barter “scrip” that is like gift certificates as well – I took my kids roller skating, to Monkey Joes and Raleighwood over Christmas break! My son just got a nice new pair of glasses from Carolina Vision too.
I also find that my NCBarter customers are happy to refer me to cash paying customers – so I am exposed to a market that I would not have otherwise.
