Subject: Ghost riders on the Bus???
Last word on my opinion about the GHOST bus:
I need my car for work and cannot ride the bus. I have to run errands for my work daily. When I lived in Chapel Hill, I did not own a car and used the transit system. Wasting fuel/natural resources? That bus running up and down the road all day with 2-3 passengers is the bigger waste than me driving my car to work.
I stand by what I said, I see the bus several times every day and there are never more than a few riders on it and at times, empty. The times I pass it are between Cole Park and CH, maybe more people get on??? somewhere I’m not seeing. I have also seen it many times around the Lowes in PBO with NO ONE on it.
As far as my speeding, I have done that on one or two occasions and mostly to see just how fast this bus was going. I have called the Chapel Hill transit on this and several other buses and reported them for traffic violations that include speeding and running lights.
Don’t have the time or inclination to respond to the LENGTHLY comments on the Chatlist. My opinion is the bus was a BUSt, and I’m glad to see it go. I am sorry it didn’t work out. The idea was grand but obviously people aren’t ready for to use mass transit between PBO and CH.
PS. Mike, give it a rest. I’m just one person, who made one comment about your Tea Party. No need to counter..
