Subject: Insurrection
I had a suspicion we would see a voter insurrection this election . We are growing not necessarily in population but with voter intelligence. The last three elections should be a wake up call to politicians that we as a collective are now empowered to remove them if they don’t perform to our expectations .
The people we put in office this time know we expect results
.. We will no longer accept any broken promises from our elected leaders. Chatham is experiencing a transformation that some are fighting . We are often afraid of things we don’t understand but change isn’t always bad . I feel those that tried to take control focused on moving forwards with their own agendas once in office without embracing the lessons learned from the past . Its time we replace the county manager and various others that aren’t in touch with the changes the future will certainly bring . We have a school board that needs to consider a total overhaul of the management and logistics of our school system . When a system is so obsolete and out of touch with what parents and teachers need for the students it no longer does what it was designed to to , educate and enrich our children for the future .. I walked through the main office and I witnessed inefficiency with every step I took . I motored around Pittsboro Monday after lunch with this
on my mind thinking If I had operated any of my businesses like this I would have bankrupt them . I feel I should support the new commissioners
and encourage them to make the tough decisions others haven’t had the testicular fortitude and integrity to make . I really have no interest in
politics as I’m more interested in the rich diversity of the people in this county . We live in a beautiful place with amazing people around every corner for us to enjoy , we are truly blessed . Casper
