Well, the excitement is building for Friday and Saturday May 21 and 22 ! ! ! It is one week until the 2010 Pittsboro Relay for Life and I hope you all are going to be attending. This year there are lots exciting events happening at Northwood High School Track. Here is a listing of all the events:

5:30-6:00 pm Survivor

6:00 pm Welcome by Master of

Prayer of
Hope – Pastor Bob from Hanks Chapel
Presentation of Flags by Chatham County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard
National Anthem by Northwood Marching Band
Welcoming Comments by Planning Committee

2nd Lap- Caregivers join survivors
3rd Lap- Teams join Relay
7pm-7.45pm – Singing with Stephen Ferguson and Terry
7:45-8:00
pm- Transition—Frances
Wilson (Line Dancing) She is going to dance a song or two with Stephend and
Terry then with Big Time Party Time Band also.
8:00-8:45 pm- Big Time Party Time Band
8:45-9:00 pm- Transition and Prep for Luminaria Service
9:00-9:30 pm- Luminaria Ceremony – Luminary bags will all be lit !

9:30-10:15 pm- Frizzwheel
10.15 – 10:30 pm- Transition
10:30-11:00 pm- Purple Passion
11:00-11:30 pm- Lane Snipes
11:30-12:00 am- Dance the Night Away – DJ to play
dance music here.
12:00 am -6:00 am- Night Activities – we will have a themed walk every half hour where participants will walk around the track (up to 5 laps ) in a particular dress or style. Participants will receive one raffle ticket for each lap completed. At .25 after the hour, a raffle number will be drawn. The remaining raffle tickets will be kept for a drawing after the next themed walk so more chances to win. Prizes are TBA. (Look out for the BOX CAR race at 2:30 am) More info to come on night activities.
6:00- 8:00 Morning Keep Fit or Yoga
8:00-10:00- Kids Walk/Closing
Ceremony (for Kids up to 14 years)- exciting events ! Kids Walk for Cancer – Lots of Mascots ( UNC Ram, Chick-Fil-a Cow, Wool E. Bull, Fat Cat, Sparky and the Northwood Charger) – games, – face painting – Tattoos – The Archonettes (Step Team) will give a demonstration
