Dear Chathamites concerned about ticks,

If you have had any trouble with ticks, even if you have not gotten sick, just pestered with bites (which is a risk of disease) please take a few minutes to fill out the survey below. Get all your family and friends to do it too. We have a lot of people sick from tick-borne infections here in this county.  We need to enhance public health prevention efforts and medical providers knowledge.  Thank you.  Tick-borne Infections Council of NC, Inc (www.tic-nc.org)

Subject: Health Department Conducts Community Opinion Survey

Would you like your voice to be heard about different Chatham County issues? If the answer is yes, then this is your chance to put your thoughts to good use.

Residents will have a chance to share their opinion on which issues and concerns should be addressed in Chatham County over the next four years.

The surveys will be available at Wren, Goldston, and Pittsboro libraries, Chatham County Public Health Department sites in Siler City and Pittsboro, and Chatham County events through the end of June.

To make the process even easier, the questionnaires will be available online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/2010CHAsurvey. Residents will be able to complete the surveys with a few clicks of a mouse from the comfort of their own homes or offices.

The purpose of the assessment is to identify factors that affect the health of a population and determine priority areas to address. It is important to have input from Chatham County residents so that agencies and organizations can effectively work with community members to develop action plans that address these concerns.
