Volunteers Needed for The Shamrock Run for Hope and Breakfast
This is a fundraiser on Saturday March 13th hosted by Relay for Life of Pittsboro with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. The 5K/10K run will start at the courthouse at 8 AM. At the completion of the run, awards will be given and breakfast served at the Pittsboro United Methodist Church.
We anticipate folks from throughout the Triangle area to participate so in addition to raising funds for cancer research and education, we hope to draw some attention to the town of Pittsboro by showing our visitors some real hospitality. For this to be successful there is a need for many volunteers. Some will be needed Friday afternoon, some very early Saturday morning, some mid-morning on Saturday. A few of the opportunities are:
Set Up, Parking, Registration, Route Aid, Kitchen, Clean Up and many, many Cheerleaders.
This should be a fun event for the participants, residents, spectators and hosts as well.
