Thanks Gene for this opportunity to let folks know about my studio.
Hi all. I teach jewelry making in my studio, located 3 miles from Fearrington Village, off of Bynum Ridge Rd.
Some information about the classes:
Make It Tonight, is a new series of classes. Usually held on Fridays, from 6:30 – 9 p.m. Each MIT class is self-contained with one project taught. Projects may feature a pair of earrings, pendant, ring or bracelet. Class fee includes materials. These classes are a great party idea. Come with friends, make a piece of jewelry and have fun. $40 per class.
Weekly Jewelry classes taught on Wed. & Thur.- mornings & evenings. Learn the construction techniques of cutting, forming, connecting & finishing of bronze, copper & silver. No experience is necessary and all tools are furnished. Classes start every month.
4 classes for $75. 9:30 to noon & 6:30 to 9pm
Saturday Saturday classes are $150 for 2 days, second & third Sat. of the month, 9:30 to 4pm. Classes not held every month.
See my web site for more details about all of the above classes. www.monnda.com. You can also see pictures of some of my students work.
When my daughters were getting ready to leave home, I said to myself, ” Well, what do you want to do now? The girls will be off to college and you don’t have to work any longer at what you are doing. What’s next?
I decided that I wanted to made jewelry. (Yea, I know, it sounds kind of funny now, but that really is just what I did) There I was at crossroads in my life, and I could go in many directions. Jewelry?! So, here I am, 20 years later, doing exactly what I set off to do. I love sharing what I’ve learned and helping folks along their paths too. There are not a lot of places that you can go to learn how to work in metals. And as Gene says, “right here in little ol’ Chatham County” is one such place.
Thanks Monnda
