Subject: Women’s Rock Retreat Week-end at Celebrity Dairy!
Girls Rock NC has scheduled our annual (soon to be bi-annual, we hope) Women’s Rock Retreat Weekend for October 23-25, 2009.
This retreat will be held at Celebrity Dairy Goat Farm and B&B. We’ll
arrive Friday night, get to know each other, eat dinner, play some
music, then spend Saturday writing, practicing, and energizing! We
hope to have a yoga workshop available for everyone, and some short
creative crafty workshops as well. Sunday we’ll wake up, do some yoga
and/or vocal exercises, practice a bit more, and enjoy our last hours
at the beautiful farm. We’ll pack up at 2pm, then re-convene at the
Cave in Chapel Hill for our showcase, where each band will perform one
or two songs. Fear not, we’ll have some incredible female musicians
on hand all weekend to help you write a great song!
Room and board are included in the cost. Instruments will be provided, but we encourage you to bring anything you have to share.
We’re doing sliding scale this year, for $300-500. We may also provide scholarships to a few special women who have some incredible gifts to share!
