…..is still alive and kicking despite a 2 week setback which included myself being checked out for a possible heart condition at Rex Hospital and other evaluations that last a week, but even at 58, I passed all the tests with flying colors and am ready to fully get back ‘in the saddle’. Yep, I would like to be retired or at least semi-retired by now too, but I just join millions of others in the same boat, at least really love what I do now, and am glad it was not check out time for me yet. I am very thankful to supportive friends, family, and God and to humor it up a little, as a friend I used to work with always used to say when things went haywire, a true New Yorker from the Bronx…”what ‘ya gonna do”? Sounded just like something out of an old TBS movie.

I am still the same company, but based in Cary, about 10 minutes from RDU thus much more convenient, especially on last minute calls for pickups, and my new # there should be 460-1246. Mailing address is the PO Box below and the townhouse I have rented will be both my new home away from home and new office. Love the country, but have been sitting on the same farm now for 22 years, and a change of pace is good for us all once in a while….for me anyway.

Finally, because of recent astronomical expenses that I have had, I am not able to expand as I thought I would be able to, am glad about the recent article about the Chapel Hill bus service finally being approved which I’m sure will be better than what I could have offered, but I have a new partner now, Angela Ray who owns Diamond Express, a terrific lady whom I think I got an email from about a year ago, and she I and will be covering for one another when needed. She does other services for the elderly mainly things that I do not do, cooking, taking to the doctor, house sitting, etc., and her number is 919/291-2521 if needed for any of these services. I, in turn, am going to concentrate on first class and reliable RDU service as it is certainly always going to be needed for this (potentially) growing area and if I cannot make a certain trlp, I hope my new partner will be able to. If more ‘partners’ are needed, then more partners will be sought out.

Thank you, God Bless.
