Central Carolina Community College, Continuing Education Medical Programs, taking immediate registrations for SUMMER offering:
EKG Technician course this Summer in Pittsboro
June 16 to July 23, 2009
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
1pm to 5pm
Prerequisite 28-hour Healthcare Readiness – choose Siler City or Pittsboro – provides healthcare foundational and personal skills.
CPR course is suggested and available, but not mandatory.
EKG Technician course consists of theory and laboratory experience to promote competence; will prepare individuals to perform Electrocardiograms; and teaches recognition of familiar ECG/EKG patterns, including major life threatening rhythms. Successful completion prepares student for the National Certification exam. This course is comprised of 48 hours of classroom and lab instruction, and 12 hours of classroom-based clinical.
Qualified student must be 18, have US issued High School Diploma or GED, and bring photo ID and SS card to register at Pittsboro campus of CCCC.
Registration cost for EKG Technician = $66.25.
Registration cost for Healthcare Readiness = $55 (Waiver for unemployed/underemployed when guidelines met)
No uniform required and textbooks available at bookstore.
