Subject: Pittsboro Law Enforcement
In the past month I received a speeding ticket on 15-501 about a mile from the circle. I was in fact traveling over the posted speed and I am freely willing to admit my guilt in this matter.
Despite this I can honestly say that I am not a criminal. I have never been arrested, I have never been in police custody and I have never even been questioned by the police in
Pittsboro or anywhere else on the planet. I say this because I want y’all to know that I lead a law abiding life and I am above suspicion.
Despite this I was treated like a deviant by the citing officer in the afore mentioned speeding violation. Office B. Hadley of the Pittsboro Police department pulled me over within feet of posted speed limit sign, was very rude and tried to intimidate me. He was abrupt and starred me down.
I am no stranger to speeding tickets, despite my speeding ways, I have never been treated like this by law enforcement before, especially here in North Carolina. Usually officers and troopers, especially troopers, are as nice to you as you might expect your pastor to be. Officer Hadley was anything but.
Why would I post this on the chatlist? If you know this officer, tell him you saw this posting. If you are his superior, you may want to coach him on the appropriate way to interact with the public. If you are an elected official, just be aware of him. If you are driving through Pittsboro, pray that he does not pull you over because the encounter will leave an even more sour taste in your mouth than simply getting a speeding ticket.
Officer Hadley, you can be a nice guy and still be effective in your position. If you doubt this just ask any state trooper.
