CCV is reorganizing and we had a great meeting last Thursday! We are going to try and meet every Thursday at Virlie’s except the first Thursday of the month.
At our Feb 5 meeting, we assigned several teams to committee projects. If you want to get involved now is a great time! We need to show our government that the citizens are mobilized on several issues.
Our website is now under “new management” and we are thrilled! Please visit the site for many updates, polls and blogs (and please leave your comments on our blog posts) : www.tccv.org
Our tentative Community ICE Forum date is Feb 26. Commissioner George Lucier agreed to be a panel member. We met with Sheriff Webster and look forward to getting a commitment from him to be a panel member. This will be a Community Forum with a diverse panel comprised of LOCAL leadership only – and will certainly be one not to miss! We’ll be sure to keep you posted.
If you are asking “what can I do to make a change in Chatham TODAY?” we have several answers for you:
1. Visit the CCV website at www.tccv.org – you can participate in polls, click on Action Alert to take you to information on e-mailing the commissioners, comment on blog posts
2. Attend a CCV planning meeting – next meeting is this Thursday, Feb 12 at Virlie’s Grill in Pittsboro
3. Forward this message to your e-mail lists – we need to get the word out and keep as many folks as we can informed! You can do just that by getting these e-mails to your associates and neighbors.
