After your unfortunate incident with one of our more adorable Chatham county mammals, there is a number to call to have your trophy removed from the side of the roadway. A call to 742-3431 will prompt the DOT to dispatch the necessary implements and men to retrieve the carcii.
This works for dogs, too. Anything dead that has fallen within the parameters of the right of way. I’ve even called in a dead skunk last year that met its fate in front of B&L Supply. (I told them on the phone that it was a small dog to avoid any potential mishandling of the request, if you know what I mean…).
They came and got it!
Yes, anything that has assumed room temperature in the right of way (even if you have to drag “em there) will be picked up (with your tax dollars), even if another vehicular hunter didn’t bother to report their trophy, you can do a community service by claiming it for you own by calling 742-3431. Happy motoring, and be careful out there. It’s Bambie!
