Subject: Chatham Schools Announce Upcoming Open House Dates
Schools across the district are planning their annual open house events in preparation for students to return on Monday, August 25. The majority of schools are holding opening houses on Thursday, August 21, which is the only required workday before students return. There will be optional teacher workdays on August 19, 20 and 22. During open houses families can discuss classroom details, bus routes, etc. with staff.
Bennett School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Bonlee School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Chatham Central High School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 6:00-8:30 p.m.
Chatham Middle School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Horton Middle School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from5:00-7:00 p.m. The school has mailed a notification to parents of fifth graders about a meet and greet/transition meeting they will have atthat time in the multipurpose room.
J.S. Waters School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Jordan-Matthews High School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 5:30p.m.-7:00 p.m. Jordan-Matthews will host a freshman SOAR program onAugust 4 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Moncure School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
North Chatham School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21.Families of students in grades one through five should come from6:00-7:00 p.m. Families of middle school students should come from7:00-8:00 p.m. There will be a separate kindergarten orientation about which families of kindergartners will be notified.
Northwood High School will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from6:00-8:00 p.m. Northwood will host a freshman orientation on August 22from 8:00-11:00 a.m.
Perry Harrison School will hold its openhouse on August 21. The kindergarten through second grade session will begin at 5:00. Third through fifth grade will begin at 5:45. Sixth through eighth grade will begin at 6:30.
Pittsboro Elementary School will hold a “Meet the Teacher†night on Thursday, August 21,5:30-7:00 p.m. An open house will held in September.
SAGE Academy will hold its open house on Thursday, August 21, from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Siler City Elementary School will hold a “Meet the Teacher” night Thursday,August 21, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Grade level informational parent nightswill be held during the month of September and will be announced at a later date.
Silk Hope School will hold its open house onThursday, August 21. Families of students in kindergarten through thirdgrade should come from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Families of students in gradesfour through eight should come from 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Virginia Cross Elementary School will hold its open house on Thursday, August21, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Kindergarten open house will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
