I totally agree with Ned Gaudette’s comments regarding price gouging at Pittsboro Chevrolet.

We recently purchased a used base model hybrid with 30,000+ miles from Pittsboro Chevrolet. We tried negotiating a better selling price but they would not come down, stating they had a lot in the vehicle and that their pricing is based on current market demand. My post sale research indicates that Pittsboro Chevrolet charged us more than $3,000 over what the vehicle sold for new, and $5,000 over the current Kelley Blue Book Value. (Unfortunate for us that we did not have this research information at the time of sale).
Additionally we were told during the sale that the vehicle had been well maintained and that their service department had fully serviced and checked out the vehicle and that it was not in need of any maintenance or repair. We had the vehicle checked out by a vehicle brand dealership. They found the engine and cabin air filters to be filthy in need of replacement, the vechile was out of alignment and the engine fluids required flusing and replacing. Our cost of parts & service for repairs was $400.
There is more to the bad experiences of this sale but for the sake of brevity I will close by saying that we will never purchase from nor do business with Pittsboro Chevrolet ever again. If you choose to go there – Buyer BEWARE.
