Hi Meg,
You need to extend your fence to 8 feet high. Check out the fence that the Busy Bee Farm has installed around some of his blackberries. Since he has put up the 8 foot fence there has not been a deer in this portion of his plants. He is in the process of putting it around the rest of the area he has berries in.
While on the subject of Busy Bee Farm, I missed his early blackberries. I was by there today and he hopes that the other blackberries and blueberries will be ready for picking by the 4th of July.
He also has new(red) potatoes, gooseberries and soon to have vine ripe tomatoes for sale. He has a few heads of cabbage left for sale also.
