Subject: Resources for navigating the Laws re: IEP’s/504 plans
Hi all. I am sure some of you might know where to point me. I am currently in the process of doing this for one of my kiddos. So far, the school has been little help in actually helping me navigate and understand the process.
It is very frustrating when you don’t know the law of how IDEA and the 504s for this state and county. Can anyone point me to a website that is specifically for this state. I frequent Wright’s Law site and try to keep up to date with it, but I would like to better understand how this county/state interpret it themselves so I
can be better informed and support my child in his upcoming year of school.
I have contacted the people in the county school system and they have all told me different things and are not consistent. I know there is an organization in Wake County that helps parents do this and cannot think of the name of it. Any help is deeply appreciated.
