Subject: Pittsboro Eyes Tax Increases!
Just letting you know I made a mistake in the figures for the property tax increase. Apparently, it might increase $80 to $120 for a property assessed at $200,000. My bad. I guess the blood shooting out of my eyes after reading the article in the Chatham Record caused me to misread the figures.

I don’t want to sound cranky, BUT: some people who post suggestions and recommendations for interesting Chatham businesses do not give the rest of us any information to help us locate their finds. Many times we need more information than “Pittsboro”, “Chatham County” or “Siler City”.
I am sure the business owners would be grateful for your information, as would we.

Subject: Downtown Pittsboro needs every warm body it can find
I agree with Mr. Stafford. How can the energy, people, and pocketbooks that come with a school be seen as a bad thing, especially when it would be filling a very large, long-empty, and less-than-attractive spot?
Parents drop their kids at school and then immediately look to run all the errands that are easier without kids in tow…gas, groceries, pharmacy, hair, spa services, banking, gym, shopping, etc. After errands, they may very well want to relax with a coffee, snack, lunch, or glass of beer or wine. All of these things would contribute to the vitality and tax base of downtown Pittsboro.

Election day is Tuesday, November 3rd.
Everyone is reminded to get their political endorsements in for their favorite Pittsboro, Siler City and Goldston candidates in by Monday.
If you feel a candidate is not qualified, you have to get your email in by Saturday. That way your least favorite candidate and their advocates have time to respond before the election.

Dear Chatham,
A talented man running against Mayor Voller and below is what he has listed as his mission. This will give us a choice. Mr Crawford is a good family man and loves Pittsboro. He is not taking any political backing by any group. The agenda is for Pittsboro and its residents. Go to www.billcrawfordformayor.com for more information.
Why am I running for Mayor? I want to be your Mayor because I will always put Pittsboro first!
