Chatham County Center – NC Cooperative Extension and Chatham County Division of Environment Health will be sponsoring a ServSafe Food Safety course from Wednesday, February 1st to Friday, February 3rd. Class times are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. The cost of the course is $100.00 per person. Classes will be held in the Chatham Community Library located behind Central Carolina Community College off of NC Hwy 87 N. ServSafe(r) is a 14-hour Food Safety Certification Course developed by the Education Foundation of the National Restaurant Association. This is a program for all food service managers and supervisory staff in restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, and other food service establishments. Certification will be provided by the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association. A certificate will be awarded to all who successfully complete the course and the written examination. For any additional information, contact Chatham County Cooperative Extension, 919-542-8202.

You will be walked through the CCCC application process, the financial aid application process, and will be provided the opportunity to speak with advisors. This Chatlist is so cluttered that I find it extremely laborious to sift through. I contacted your web designer and told them the same thing.
I would suggest organizing it according to area and/or topic like the newspaper want ads. Unfortunately, with this web page, you have to scroll through everything to get where you might like to read unless it could be set up with links to topics that you could click on and then be taken to that spot. Even online grocery store ads do that.

Diaries, memoirs, and stories about the Civil War describe success and tragedy, friendship and courage, abuse and good deeds. African American voices lend a unique perspective to the story of the Civil War years. Drawing from works by African Americans with North Carolina ties, Michelle Lanier will present a talk entitled “A War With Many Voices: African American Memory and the Civil War” on 25 September 2011. Lanier’s program is the third of a series of programs presented by the Chatham County Historical Association, Inc. in observance of the 150th anniversary of the Civil War in North Carolina. The program will be held in the multi-purpose room in Building 2 on the Pittsboro campus of Central Carolina Community College.
