Come run with us on Thursday evenings — 6 o’clock  beginning from the porch at Chatham Marketplace!

Once again, Fleet Feet in Carrboro will be sponsoring a Pittsboro group of No Boundaries, a 12-week training program for runners and walkers of all abilities. This past spring we had 15 registered participants and an average weekly group of about 10 folks. The goal race was Race for the Cure 5k. This fall, the goal race is the Old Reliable Run in downtown Raleigh, which offers both a 5k and a 10k, on November 16.

Subject: Original post on Chatham Park and Ride was correct

It is an understandable misinterpretation of the situation printed in thelast post of the July 15th Chatlist, but the changing of the bus operations from Southern Coach to Chapel Hill Transit did not open up the Chatham park & ride for public parking. Public can catch the bus route, but not park in the lot.

All the classes you mentioned are taught in the area – often through the community college. They should be out with a fall continuing ed. course catalog soon.

I will be teaching the class “Reading and Writing for Children” through CCCC in the fall, but if you’re interested in writing in general or writing for adults there are often classes/workshops through the Chatham County Arts Council. If you are willing to drive to Carrboro the ArtsCenter also has a wonderful offering of classes.

Actually, I have done some opera and have a great appreciation for the full figured woman. If you know me then you know what I mean. Sometimes those skinny women are wound up so tight they can’t enjoy life. There are other perks as well (which modesty prohibits me from elucidating).

I am a prima donna. Love me or leave me (I’m used to it).

Pittsboro/Chapel Hill transit now on regional drawing board

Hi all,

Triangle Transit has slated a bus route to run between Pittsboro and Chapel Hill to begin during 2011. The timing would be sooner, but it all depends on (gasp! surprise!) the funding agreement. Since Chatham is outside the area funded by Orange, Wake and Durham counties, 67% of the funding will need to be raised from municipal sources.
