Celebrate spring with a 5k run/walk and a kids k through Briar Chapel roads and parks, featuring a live DJ and local food trucks and beer! Run, walk, eat, and play outside! Support community resilience, improving our NC food shed, and renewable energy education and action- run for the Abundance Foundation!

REGISTRATION (JUST $20) INCLUDES: a locally made organic t-shirt by TS Designs (first 200 runners), goodie bag of sponsors’ free stuff, and after-race party with live music, kids’ activities and gardening and sustainable living demos for adults. The chip-timed race is a USATF certified course. Registration is $20 in advance, and $25 day of race.

RACE DAY: Race Day registration begins at 8:30am and the 5k begins at 9.30am. Awards for top 3 male finishers and top 3 female finishers, as well as age group winners. Prizes from Counter Culture Coffee, Locals Seafood, French Connections, Fleet Feet, Great Outdoor Provision, O2 Fitness, and more!

POST-RACE PARTY: Briar Chapel is hosting an after party from 10-1 PM featuring beer and food trucks, live DJ, kids’ activities, sustainable living demos, crafts for all ages, and yard games for the young and young at heart! Food trucks include Barone Meatball, Carolina Brewery, Citizen Yogurt, and Captain Poncho’s Tacos. Outdoor games include corn hole, bocci ball, horseshoes, big bubbles and XXL Jenga.

The post-race party is free, and the more you support the food and beer trucks, the more you support the Abundance Foundation! Bring your hungry friends and family!
