Subject: largest employer in Chatham
It looks at though Townsends will close by October. If they do who will be the largest private business left in the county?
And how many employees will they have? I’ve heard that Olympic Steel & Brookwood Farms of Siler City would be the likely candidates but I don’t know how many employees they have. Of course I’m not counting WalMart and Lowe’s Home Improvement as private businesses or county entities like the hospital or school system.
