Here’s a plug for the new preschool/daycare in Pittsboro, just down from Al’s Diner on 87 South.  It’s Pasitos Felices, and it’s run by Adriana Espinosa, who got her chops from Mi Escuelita in Chapel Hill.  Spanish is spoken all day by the gentle, well-educated staff.

If you have boisterous boys, bring them so my two will have some competition in the boisterous boys department.

Subject: Girl’s Birthday Party

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending my granddaughter’s 7th. birthday party.  It was held at Miss Priss Party Parlor.  What a great time they all had.

I had no idea there was such a great option for a child’s birthday!  They have all sorts of party themes and for all ages. This is a fairly new business that is operated by two very personable young women who had a great idea.

We have used Garage Door Services located in Pittsboro for garage door repair and replacement.  We have been so happy with their knowledge and customer service that we are purchasing our new garage doors for the house we are currently building from them and they will also be installing our new doors.

Subject: RE Davis Andrews & Saw mill(s)

There are many scattered around - the two I have dealt with are:

It’s been a few years since I’ve been to see Chris and Wanda Braxton (and son John Paul) but they are in Silk Hope on Lindley Mill Rd. (Braxton’s saw mill) - he started out as a quite small operation but is huge by comparison today - so I do not know whether he’ll take a small (?) order for lumber.  I bought lumber and sawdust/shavings from him years ago for my horse farm!  The whole family are very pleasant folks - Chris’ dad, John, is a renowned gunsmith, and grandpa was the “farmer” while living….
