The Hanks Chapel Church men’s fellowship will sponsor their bi-annual bbq’d chicken lunch and supper on Friday , April 20th . Eat in, take-out or delivery at lunch from 11:30-until, and eat-in or take-out supper from 5:00-until it’s all sold!  For $8.00 you will get a chicken half, baked beans, slaw, dessert and drink.

The church is at 190 Hanks Loop Rd, off Hanks Chapel Rd, east of Pittsboro; please leave a message at 919-542-2938 to place lunch delivery orders, or call Ruth at 919-895-2103 as soon as possible so that delivery can be arranged.  Someone will confirm your order.

Thank you, Ms. Anderson and others who are concerned about keeping the holy day of our Lord’s Resurrection holy. I could not agree with you more!  Please let me explain our reasons for offering a voter registration on Easter Sunday.
First: Our church has and ministers to people from all walks of life and political persuasion.An encouragement for people to register is not considered an improper gesture.

Subject: strange combo of events

I was a bit taken aback by seeing the post from St Bartholomew’s Church combining Easter service and voter registration. This sounds like a political agenda gone wrong.

Easter is the Holiest of days to Christians and I think no one would ever have thought of this. Does anyone else find this kind of weird? I am glad our church concentrates on Jesus and what the day is about..

Subject: Holy Week Services at Moncure United Methodist Church

A Good Friday service will be held this Friday, April 6th, at 7:00 PM.  Our Easter worship service will begin at 9:00 AM on Sunday, April 8th, followed by a covered-dish breakfast.  Everyone is invited to join us!  The church is located at the corner of Old US 1 and Post Office Road in Moncure.
