Subject: Warning-Thefts on Castle Rock Farm Rd

This past week, there at least two incidents of property thefts on Castle Rock Farm Rd. The thieves stole outdoor equipment and tools while people were home at night, coming through locked gates and entering sheds. Hopefully this doesn’t escalate into something worse.

Karen Crowell is really stretching it. This is not a matter of intolerance. Our Country has welcomed immigrants for centuries. I am an immigrant and naturalized U.S. citizen. I support immigration, legal immigration. Karen may believe in a “New World Order” where we are all citizens of the world and as such, have the right to ignore the rule of law, do our own thing and trample on the rights of others, but I do not, and the vast majority of the peoples of this world, and this country in particular, also do not accept the “free for all” concept.

Subject: Human Relations

Paul Caudros says that eliminating the Human Relations Director position was nothing more than politics because people were angry about the passage of the 287g immigration law enforcement resolution. He points out that the resolution carried no authority and only the sheriff could seek to implement the program. Doesn’t that mean that the resolution was passed solely for political reasons? Did the former board buy the support of a certain constituency with a meaningless resolution? Was the creation of the Human Relations Director position just more of the same?

Subject: Pittsboro’s City Tap Noise Not Music To All Ears.

Recently two articles have appeared in The Chatham Record newspaper regarding complaints that “music” being played at Pittsboro’s City Tap Bar/Restaurant is too loud. Local residents complained to Pittsboro city Fathers to do something about it. Well, lots of luck local residents- History of such situations has you on the loosing end. Walnut Creek Raleigh, Shakori Hills, Sports Arena- they are still going strong and still making life miserable for residents unfortunate enough to be living near by.

Sarah,

I say well done to Mr. Williams for speaking up.  I don’t recall anyspecifications in his posting about “brown  skin”.   This one simple statement is all that matters…”illegal alien”.   Self explanatory.illegal. It doesn’t matter what nationality, color of skin, hair or eyes.  Illegal is illegal. They do NOT contribute in a good way to this community or country.

I’m quite sure the reference to Hispanic was simply because they do comprise the majority of illegal aliens in the country at this time and in this community.

December 20th, the owner of a downtown Pittsboro business posted on the Chatlist: “Beggars and Choosers is closing after Christmas.” “The store was robbed the day of the street fair. We were hit hard and it has taken the joy out of working and I need to take a break to get my groove back.” The same day, I heard a rumor that Chatham Marketplace had been robbed.

Has anyone thought about the 2 boys that got beat up by the boys from Northwood that claim to be in the cripts gang?

I want to be informed of whats  going on in our town it seems that no-one is willing to admit that we have a  serious problem. I do not feel safe letting my kids walk the streets of our sweet little town for fear that they are going to get jumped. I want to know if  these boys have been kicked out of school for being known gang members, I want  to know whats being done about it. I want to know that the town is not keeping  quiet and pretending that we don’t have a serious problem here.

Has any other local business owner experienced a problem with this outfit?

Some time ago,   I was called by someone claiming to represent Northwood High School,  asking if I wanted to place an ad on their 2009 Spring Sports Poster.    I’ve done similar local advertising in the past,  but I explained to the caller that times were tight and I was not interested this time.
