Subject: Left Turns on 15-501
As you drive along 15-501 between CVS and Pittsboro, count the number of exits to the left. There is a WHOLE BUNCH OF LEFT TURNS.
A driver who needs to turn left, has to drive in the left lane in order to do so. And yes, that driver has to slow down before making the turn. One of the things I really like about Chatham County is that most folks are very aware of this, and are kind and make the necessary lane adjustments.

In response to “reckless driving” on 15-501, I also get very frustrated with people who are “meandering” at 40-45 mph in the passing lane while on the phone, talking or singing.
Pay attention! Drive in the RIGHT lane!!

Subject: Your Minimum Payment is NOT Your Minimum Payment
Don’t you think First Citizens Bank has a good looking building at the Harris Teeter shopping center? I do and I also found out that the fake front facade extends inside the building.
FC websites use phrases such as “focusing on the needs of each individual customer;” and “pride in delivering superior service that consistently exceeds expectations and surpasses industry standard.”
The Board of Directors, past and current Presidents, confirm that it is a very successful family business. Good for them but not for us common folk.

On behalf of all the local farmers I’d like to thank Angelina for supporting us. She is at the Pittsboro Farmers Market every Thursday, she purchases our food and makes the into amazing creations at her restaurant, Angelina’s Kitchen, where she enthusiastically declares what foods come from what farms.
Angelina is the real deal, please show your support for her restaurant, it’s awesome!

Subject: I support Antonella’s Business Decision
The Plenty is supposed to be a voluntary program. It is therefore Antonella’s choice to accept or not accept the plenties at her business. Likewise other local businesses are supposed to have similar options.
Antonella has been a part of the downtown Pittsboro business scene for several years.
Apparently she has done a good job providing excellent service to her customers that they have voted her among the best businesses in Chatham County.

Matt,
The Plenty is indeed a interesting social experiment propagated by your employer and a group of businesses affiliated with your employer.
A leap of faith must be taken by all involved as their is no guarantee of their stated value, including yourself. You agreed to accept the plenty in lieu of real money, Antonella does not.

Antonella’s gained another customer here. Amazing as it seems, I posted early on with just this in mind.
Oh, and I was chastised roundly and informed that no one would be pressured to accept the “Plenty”, and that it was “backed” by Capitol Bank, which turned out to be untrue. This is either voluntary or its just another form of “Company Scrip” (re. “I owe my soul to the Company Store”.)
Again, to those of you that wish to participate, God Bless you and good luck.
