According to the local newspaper, the solar array with crops beneath the raised panels being built at Piedmont Biofuels is privately funded by a couple in Pittsboro.  Is that true ?  If so, that is GREAT !!  Let’s hope it is economically viable.

I agree with Sherri and hope we can continue to use the chatlist to continue a community discussion about fracking. This is an important discussion for us to be having and this is the ideal forum in which to do that. Moving it to a Google group is like putting it in the closet.

I recently had a need for help. I took a chance on Clayton Kennedy.

I was not disappointed.

I found him to be hardworking, admitted his inexperience and was willing to learn. He showed up on time and worked hard the whole time we had agreed upon. (almost had to force him to take water breaks)

This young man has been forced into a tough situation and, I feel, deserves a break.

In the entry corridor, an exhibit will highlight the history and evolution of the courthouse, and a large relief model or map will depict the entire county. Subject: 1356 Stage Coach Rd… can it be fixed up?

I’ve walked past that house before, several times, since I live rather near it. It’s a small, gray house that looks severely neglected. Some of the windows are broken, and the rest of the exterior looks like it needs a *lot* of work. Believe me, I’m not asking who to complain to. Rather, I’d like to know if it could be fixed up, because right now it looks like it’s waiting for the bulldozer to come and put it out of it’s misery. I’d love to help change that, although I’m the type who can barely miss my thumb with a hammer!

In response to dreadpiratejeff’s concerns about potential school traffic downtown (from Haw River Christian Academy’s proposal to rehab the old PTA Thrift building), please keep in mind that between carpools, multiple children per family, and staff members driving their own children to school, the number of cars would be much less than the number of students on any given day.
