Hello everyone. My name is Jason and I’m new to the Chatlist. I’ve heard this can be an excellent resource for those of us living in Chatham County.

I’m surprised by the libelous comment made by “George Chatham” in a recent Chatlist post. Mentioning Mr. Fiacco by name (perhaps you intentionally misspelled his surname) and then proceeding to infer there are conflicts of interest and deception by the country commissioners is a bit unfair. You’re clearly upset by progress and the development of the Chatham Park community and Pittsboro in general. I’m sure you and your family will enjoy all the new amenities, so please exercise a bit more respect for those trying to work through the review and approval process. You and many others don’t realize the Chatham Park developers are actually doing much more than is required to proceed with the development on the land which they own.

All the best,
Jason Appletree

Subject: Pittsboro Public Hearing TONIGHT

Monday June 10th – TONIGHT!

At tonight’s PBO Board of Commissioners Meeting they will, among other
things, have a Public Hearing on the Chatham Park Planned District
Development (PDD) Additional Element Open Space Amendment.

Here’s the Agenda:
https://pittsboronc.gov/vertical/sites/%7B512CE168-4684-4855-9CD9-7D209FE775E3%7D/uploads/AGENDA_June_10_2019.pdf

The Hearing will be before the regular meeting. But, remember what happened
at the last meeting where, after the Tree Protection Element had been
discussed and changes proposed to be incorporated and practically everyone
left, Fiocco pushed forward a vote on the Tree Element anyway, around
midnight.

You gotta’ watch ’em and wonder just who some of these commissioners
represent, Pittsboro citizens or two rich guys from Wake County.

I know if a certain bookstore ever opens in Chatham Park, I’d love to see
what kind of rent it pays. Or if a certain civil engineering company gets
any contracts from Chatham Park or their sub-developers.

Just sayin’…
