Monday, Jan. 1
Chatham County Libraries CLOSED for the holiday. Happy New Year to everyone!

Tuesday, Jan. 2
10am                   CCL Toddler Story Time –Join us for stories, songs, fingerplays, and rhymes. Appropriate for children ages 18 through 36 months. Older and   younger siblings welcome, of course! Story Time lasts approximately 20 minutes. For more information, contact Katy at 919-545-8085.
11am                            CCL Preschool Story Time- Join us for stories, songs, finger plays, and rhymes. Appropriate for children ages 3 to 5 years. Older and younger siblings welcome, of course! Story Time lasts approximately 30 minutes.
6:45pm                 Tuesday Evening Book Club. Have you been thinking about joining a book club? The CCL Tuesday Evening Book Club meets the 1st Tuesday of every month from 6:45-7:45pm. This month’s book is The Pearl That Broke Its Shell by Nadia Hashimi.

Thursday, Jan. 4
9am-12pm                 Genealogy Assistance- Volunteer genealogists are available to assist with family history research, whether your ancestors lived in Chatham County, the 50 states, or overseas.  A genealogist is on site in the library most Thursdays from 9:00 am to noon, and other days and times by appointment. Call 919-545-8086 to make an appointment. Sessions take place in the Local History & Genealogy area of Chatham Community Library.  Please bring as much written documentation as you have about the topic you are researching, as well as a flash drive for saving documents and/or money for printing.
1pm                            CCL Daytime Book Club- Have you been wanting to come to the book club but couldn’t make it out on Tuesday evenings?  You’re in luck! The daytime book club at Chatham Community Library will meet on the first Thursday of each month from 1-2pm and we will be discussing the same books as the Tuesday evening club. This month’s book is The Pearl That Broke Its Shell by Nadia Hashimi.
6pm                          Common Thread Need Craft Group – Bring your favorite needlework project and enjoy the conversation and camaraderie. Newcomers are always welcome and registration is not required. For more information, call the library at (919) 545-8084.
