Subject: PTA thrift stores
The post in #5999 from someone with the handle “peacelovejoyserenity” was pretty bitter – perhaps a name change to “sourgrapes” would be more appropriate.
I shop regularly at all the county’s thrift stores, and have never had a problem or sensed any personnel unrest. The Siler City store seems to have cheaper prices, P’boro intermediate and Cole Park highest (but still a lot cheaper than retail). I’m happy to support the schools while paying rock bottom prices for gently used jeans and shirts. Given the volume of goods the employees and volunteers have to winnow through, clean, sort and put on display, it isn’t suprising that there are occasional glitches. Thank you PTA!
