Subject: Pro-PTA Thrift Shop
Hi Everyone,
I’m a frequent shopper at Pittsboro’s PTA Thrift Shop, and wish to voice my support. I have discovered many treasures in this shop, human interactions included. The cashiers greet me with warmth, and accommodate special requests such as, “May I come back for this in a little bit?” and “Can I get some help loading this table?” I often run into friends, and indulge in mid-aisle chats.
I find the inventory ever-changing, and well-organized. I am currently wearing five articles of clothing (it’s chilly this morning), three of which I bought at the PTA. Oh, and my earrings. When I look around my desk, I see more scores; a Holstein-patterned pen cup, a napkin-holder painted with a radiant red heart for stray bits of paper, and a bamboo catch-all.
So, no beefs here. I think the Pittsboro PTA Thrift Shop serves their community well, and is doing a fine job of keeping stuff out of the landfill. I hope they keep their doors open for a long time to come!
