Subject: Re. Thunder like sounds with no clouds in the sky
I wasn’t there, but it might have been tannerite, an explosive that can be legally sold because the components by themselves are not reactive, only when combined. As far as I’m concerned it’s a nuisance. Under the present Chatham County noise ordinance, if two people, living in different households, report a noise, and if the Sheriff can identify the individual responsible, then that person can be cited for disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor punishable by fine. Of course the trick is to identify the source.
