Subject: Latest Climate Change Rant by Taylor Kish
I was unaware that our Heavenly Father had mandated that we burn crude oil.
Crude oil, and the various wonderful things that we have refined out of crude oil has served us well for over a century. I have dedicated lots of time and energy studying various kinds of motors and performing service on vehicles.
Oil, gasoline and coal will eventually die out.
When you consider the true cost of oil and gas you need to factor in lots of variables. First there is the military strength needed to protect oil and gas interests overseas and the cost in blood of political repression in oil and gas producing countries around the world. One need to look no farther than the Middle East to gauge the cost of war for oil.
There is also the health aspect of smog from NOX produced by internal combustion engines, something that cannot completely gotten rid of despite all the technologies available for pollution control in modern automobiles.
There is the environmental degradation caused from fracking used in the process of producing crude oil.
There are the Oklahoma earthquakes caused from forcing the pollution by product of fracking, a mixture of chemicals and oil, into underground storage.
There are all the environmental damage caused by oil pipeline spills.
Nuclear power is not the answer. Japan learned a hard lesson recently when 4 nuclear power plants melted down after a tsunami hit their coast.
NC has a severe problem with coal ash disposal. That’s not going to be cheap to get rid of.
Which brings us to climate change as a product of coal and oil. If you are not a scientist and have not dedicated the time to do the research, it would be impossible to have an informed opinion. It’s a hard subject and beyond the grasp of the general public.
