We have lived in Chatham country (Bear Creek) for a little over 20 years. We’ve started out with Green Fuel but their prices got so high and service was terrible.
We switched to Cooper Oil from Sanford. Prices were reasonable at first then became outrageous. I checked other prices of propane and they were very high compared to other companies. They also wanted to come out every month to ‘top off the tank’. Somehow that ‘top off’ was usually over $400 even in the summer. I asked if they could bypass the ‘topping off’ and they said it was in the contract I signed. Checking the contact… I didn’t see that. I asked them to check for a leak and they said everything was fine.
Upon suggestions from other Chatlisters, I called Jenkin’s Propane. They are the best! We’ve used them for several years now. They did find a leak and repaired it. Always reasonable prices and service is good. They do come out to check to see if you need more but not every month unless it’s the cold season. At the end of the winter if I think I’m good with the fuel I have, all I have to do is call them and they won’t ‘top off the tank’. ;*) I pay them $200 a month on an auto payment and always have a credit balance. Great people to work with both service and in the office.
