Chatham CNC – Machining, Welding, Lathe Work

I’m Mike Gordeev and I am the owner/operator of Chatham CNC (www.chathamcnc.com). I provide machining, welding, lathe work, and reverse-engineering services. I am personally and professionally active in everything related to machining and engineering. I’m an aerospace mechanical design engineer by day and Chatham CNC is a passion project for me. I have more than 10 years of machine shop experience, plus test engineer and automotive mechanics experience. I enjoy improving designs, helping restore vintage or out-of-production items, and, in general, making things! I’m often customizing my Miata and helping other Miata owners improve theirs. I’ve designed and welded custom rollbars, fabricated turbo manifolds (mine is up to 300 whp–more about that here: http://www.performance-chassis.com/amazing-customer-fabricated-turbo-miata/), intake manifolds, and lots more. I’ve lived in Pittsboro since 2014 and launched Chatham CNC one year ago.

I am especially proud that I conduct all of my machining work on a custom CNC mill that I designed and fabricated myself. I use the mill for low-volume production of smaller parts (size dimensions below). Whether you need a part for a household item, hobby project, or prototype development, connect with me to discuss options. The bulk of my work has focused on automotive and motorcycles. I also found a niche at reproducing out-of-production hobby RC parts.

I also offer TIG welding services and can handle virtually any metal. I’m happy to do small repairs up to full-scale fab projects.

Lastly I can also help with any turning projects you may have. I started out my machining career working on a lathe and see it as a labor of love.

If you find yourself in a situation where a discontinued part or an improved design could help, please reach me mike<at>chathamcnc<dot>com or complete the form on my website above. As a small business owner I am happy
to offer small shop prices and personal service. Get in touch and let’s make something!
