Annual Veterans Day Town Tree Tour in Pittsboro

Veterans Day is a time to thank our veterans.  Grand Trees of Chatham recently evaluated a Southern Sugar Maple in Pittsboro that looks like it will qualify as a county champion.  We will be visiting this and other fascinating elder trees around town.

This all-ages tree walk begins at Pittsboro Toys on the courthouse circle, 15 Hillsboro St., at 11 AM on Friday November 11th.  Dress for the weather and be prepared to cross several streets while walking about town for about 1 hour.  Suitable for strollers, both wheeled and bipedal.  Bring your questions!

We celebrate Chatham County Arbor Month in November because this is the best time to plant trees here.

Plant a tree during this season of gratitude.
