I floated this invite out a few weeks ago. We had our first meeting last Tuesday and I believe everyone there enjoyed themselves and would say it was worth the effort. I just wanted to put the invite out again for any one who might have missed it or were busy. If you have any interest at all, after our first meeting I would encourage you to try and make.
Have you ever wondered how your neighbor sees life?
Modern society is a mixed salad of different views about the meaning and purpose of life. Modern society also seems deeply divided. How can we come together to laugh and cry with each other? How can we support each other even if we disagree with each other?
I don’t have those answers, but the questions are increasingly on my mind. I’m betting I’m not alone. If we can’t find some answers, life will be even more difficult for our children and grandchildren.
I’m asking if there is any interest from our local Pittsboro and surrounding areas to meet and discuss both our commonalities and our differences. It’s easy to say we all desire peace. It’s much more difficult to reach out to that neighbor who thinks and believes so much differently than I do.
If you think such a discussion would be helpful (or even if you’re just curious) please let me know. If there is interest I will coordinate a time and place for a get together.
