Subject: Gidi Topp’s post reminding us of humanity of bureaucracy
Thank You, Gigi Topp, for the personal reminder of the people who run any bureaucracy, government, corporate, educational institution, philanthropy, police, et al.
There are 2 kinds of bureaucrats; the facilitators who help/make things get done and we love them and appreciate them greatly. Then there are the obstructionists who give you a hard time just because they can, right down to the guy who stopped the nice lady scanning my ticket into Kenan Stadium. It was already past ‘gate time’ and he was stopping all of us shouting “Stop. You can’t let them in until I say so!”
Needless to say he was not in his position the next game!
