This very weekend, May 20 & 21, El Gaines is on the docket at The Joyful Jewel (local art from the heart) in downtown Pittsboro as a featured storyteller. Friday night event begins at 7pm. I’m the first of four performers … Y’all come!
FYI: On this Saturday: 21, himself is facilitating a light-an-breezy “bio-intensive and old-fashioned” Vegetable Workshop at the St Bart’s Community Garden in Pittsboro (on W. Salisbury St) Details: 9:45 ’til noon. PS: If full-attendance is not possible for you, the community garden is situated so that you can attend in “drive-by mode” (that is: “drop by and be a casual garden viewer: you’ll observe some green-thumb techniques = new-ye-olde”).
Oh yeah! Daughter, Rebecca-from-Maryland, will be here = on visit. She will photograph both events fer posterity… Smile, pls.
