Subject: Chatham County Arrowheads
Near Jordan lake in Chatham County and up along Morgan Creek was a trading area for many tribes. I have found points from many periods from the Paleo up though the Mississippian and late Woodland (small bird points). These are fashions from many different materials; quartz, rhyolite, slate and cert. Additionally I have discovered axe heads and shaping tools, beads and pottery shards.
