Friends of the Chatham Community Library
Spring 2016 Book Sale
April 7, 8, 9

The Spring 2016 Friends of the Chatham Community Library book sale will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 7 and 8, from 9 AM to 7 PM and Saturday, April 9 from 9 AM to 2 PM. Once again the sale will be at the Chatham Community Library on the campus of Central Carolina Community College, 197 NC Highway 87 North, in Pittsboro.

In addition to our routinely outstanding selection in more than 25 categories, donations thus far for this sale have yielded especially good selections on several topics, including military history (lots of Civil War and WWII), sheet music, and books for children. Our offerings in history/biography and fantasy are above average in quantity and quality. More than 99% of the books are from donations by residents of Chatham County (not library discards).

Attention vinyl collectors! At the spring sale we’ll have more than 700 vinyl LP records from one discerning and careful collector–many jazz and swing recordings from the 50s, 60s and 70s, as well as numerous classical, pop, Broadway shows and multi-record boxed sets. All albums are in very good plus (VG+) or better condition. Prices: $2, $5, and $15. Half-price on Friday..

A listing of special and unusual books available at the sale can be found on-line at the Friends website: www.friendsccl.org/booksale.htm  These items will be available in “Claudia’s Corner.”

In addition to the usually attractive pricing, on Thursday purchases over $200 will receive a 20% discount. On Friday all prices are 50% off. On Saturday you can fill a large paper grocery bag with books for $5.

All the funds raised by these books sales go to enhance the resources and services provided by our library.  The sale is a true community event — come be part of it! Bring your family and friends.

Remember, books also make great gifts.
