Regarding “Hicks, Larry M”

I think this recent discussion regarding Mr. Cross is getting way off base. I don’t personally see him as a Tea Partyer. But I also don’t see him as a whole-hearted Democrat. My observations of his voting record come from sitting in on county commissioner meetings over the years he has been on that board. I never could figure out ahead of time which way he would vote. Sometimes it was with the Democrats. But during the years of Brian Bock & Crowd dominating the board, he often voted on the Republican side.

In other words, Mr. Cross is a middle-of-the-roader…not a Tea Partyer. He’s probably sincere in his views. It’s just that he’s not wholeheartedly on the Democrat side. From my observations, he voted more often on the Republican side than on the Democrat.

The very fact that Mr. Bock has endorsed him, says CLEARLY that Mr. Cross will probably vote the Republican side often. Otherwise, Mr. Bock wouldn’t be endorsing him. Mr. Bock is a confirmed Republican… so of course he would endorse someone he thought would vote in his direction. That’s natural to Republicans. It’s also natural to Democrats to endorse someone they feel sure would vote in the Democrat view of things. And in this case, that is NOT to endorse Mr. Cross.
