Pittsboro, NC – In the race for Pittsboro town commission, candidate Casey Mann’s most recent campaign financial reports show little local support for her. According to those reports, Mann raised  a total of $4,240. Of this amount, $2,705 came from outside Chatham County and represented 64 percent of campaign funds she raised.

Casey Mann’s pre-election report submitted October 26 shows individual donations of $1,440 with only one donation of $50 from Pittsboro by Beverly Bland. There were three campaign contributors from Chatham County: Bert Bowe of Fearrington Village ($75), Erika Lindeman of northeast Chatham ($100) and Jan Nichols of Moncure ($150). The remaining $1,065 came from outside Chatham County and accounted for 74 percent of the campaign funds raised between September 23 and October 19.

Her thirty-five-day report submitted September 29 shows total campaign contributions of $2,800, which includes $375 in contributions from other political committees. Individuals contributed $2,425. Individual Chatham county contributors included Bruce Ladd of Carolina Meadows ($100), Patricia Learned of northeast Chatham ($100), Jan Nichols of Moncure ($100). There was also a $10 contribution from Casey Mann herself. Pittsboro mayoral candidate Cindy Perry contributed $50 to each of the commission candidates including Mann. Lesley Landis, the wife of Casey Mann’s mentor Randy Voller, contributed $500. However, Mann paid Leslie Landey back $804.50 for graphic design work. The Crawford for Chatham Campaign contributed $300. The remaining $1,640 came from outside Chatham County and accounted for 59 percent of the campaign funds raised before September 23.
