Coordinator Hired for Future Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center

PITTSBORO, NC-  With the Chatham County Agriculture & Conference Center slated to open in mid-2016, the Pittsboro-Siler City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has the key role in marketing the new facility. The center will fill a major void in the county by providing space for a wide range of events.

Neha Shah, director of countywide CVB, said, “We are excited to announce that Larilee Isley joins the CVB on Oct. 14 as the new meeting coordinator for the center. She will play a vital role in overseeing the events scheduled there.”

Isley is originally from Pittsboro and now resides in Bear Creek.  She previously worked at Fearrington Village, Palomino in Goldston, and most recently at Carolina Stockyards.

Those interested in booking the facility once it opens, contact Isley at 919-545-8393 or email her at .

The CVB worked with Cooperative Extension, the County Manager’s Office, Facilities Management and other key partners in developing policies and pricing for various types of events at the new Center, which is designed to handle trade shows, expos, conventions, business meetings, weddings, concerts and many other types of events.

It has a total of approximately 10,000 square feet of flexible event space, much of it designed to be divided into smaller spaces, if needed.  The spacious lobby area can host receptions, exhibits and other activities.  A large outdoor patio area also is available for events.

Those interested in following updates about the Conference Center, can find information on Twitter at @ChathamMeetings<https://twitter.com/ChathamMeetings>. More social media sites and a website are coming soon.

Shah said that the CVB is excited about playing an important role in helping make the new Agriculture & Conference Center a destination for a wide range of events. The meeting coordinator position is fully funded by Chatham County for the purpose of managing the new venue; the position is supervised by the CVB.
